As this is a recently established agency, born after several years of attempts to structure tours as a local agency, it is now organized around different structures and partners who actively contribute to the local economy.
In this spirit, I would have liked the contribution of our horsemen and our host families to be highlighted even more in your discovery of Mongolia. Because Mongolia is not only about its vast, endless landscapes: above all, it is guardians of these lands — the herders — who show us what it means to live in this natural environment which could be forbidding sometimes, as well as the uniqueness of the lifestyle and culture that arise from it.
I encourage you to let yourself be carried by the rhythm of the journey, which may sometimes seem a little unusual to someone who has never set foot on the Mongolian steppe. I know that when we travel, we often tend to want to know exactly when we will arrive somewhere, how long it will take to bring the horses back (in Mongolia, horses live freely), or what the weather will be like during the day.
Sometimes I find it difficult to answer these questions, because in Mongolia we live by and follow the rhythm of the land and its animals. For example, the weather can change so quickly that in the same day we may experience a storm, a cold wind, and bright sunshine — almost as if we had earned it. We often have that feeling after enduring rainy weather while riding on horseback.
